thinkingplace, the UK’s leading place branding, place marketing and place making specialist, are proud to have worked with places such as Staffordshire, Surrey, Hampshire, Torbay, Hemel Hempstead, Wakefield, Lowestoft, Reading, Eccles and Gloucester. And we would like to invite you to . . .
We’re excited to be heading back to Leeds from 16th – 18th May for this year’s UKREiiF event and are very happy to be hosting our ‘The Magic of Place’ drinks reception for the second year running whilst there. This will once again be held at the fantastic Lamb & Flag pub which is less than a 5 minute walk from The Royal Armouries, next to Leeds Minster.
When you’ve seen the stands and talked the talk then come and relax with us.
Chat and network with the thinkingplace team and like minded ‘place people’ from the public and private sector; the drinks, canapes and magic provided by the hugely talented Jason Rea are on us!
To book your space at our drinks reception please send us an email by clicking HERE.
Meeting up at UKREiiF
We are the leading ‘place specialist’ in the UK and use our experience, skills and insight having worked with over 70 places to:
- bring businesses, HE/FE, community and public sector together to create and implement a shared ‘narrative’ that differentiates their place to help it compete and grow and develop its economy.
- create a new model of place leadership (at a time of austerity) where the private sector and anchor institutions have a prominent role in place marketing and becoming place ambassadors.
- help towns, cities and counties respond to the ‘Levelling Up’ and devolution agendas in a positive and place-led way.
- maximise on Government schemes to regenerate town centres, such as the FHSF, Towns Fund and SPF.
- unlock the economic potential of a place by highlighting and focussing on its assets, economic geography and wider spatial relationships.
- reset their place post-Covid following the best practise of a shared, forward-looking place story, widened place leadership and active collaborations.
We have successfully implemented this different way of working with counties such as Staffordshire, Surrey and Hampshire, cities such as Coventry, Nottingham and Perth, towns such as Harrogate, Harlow, Lowestoft and St Helens, and multi-place economic areas such as Torbay, Medway and Wychavon, as well as three UK Cities of Culture, an approach that was the bedrock for their success.
Our Founding Director John Till is a mentor for the High Street Task Force programme and thinkingplace are a partner of The Institute of Place Management at Manchester Metropolitan University and a member of the Institute of Economic Development, based on our best practice and experience in developing stories and collaborations for places.
If you’d like to learn more about our approach, or the places we’ve worked with in the last 17 years, and how we might be able to help you promote and develop your place then we’d be delighted to meet up at UKREiiF.
Either drop us an email at nicola.burnop@thinkingplace.co.uk or you can ring the office on 01254 779149 to arrange a meeting with one of our expert team.
Wishing you a successful UKREiiF and look forward to seeing you there!
