Will it be a Labour of Love?

What can places expect from a new Labour government and what are the implications of the budget for place development?

Darren Rodwell, Senior Associate at Cratus and Former Leader of London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Council believes it can be a labour of love and explains why;

1. A Labour Government will look to focus on housing as a foundation for successful communities
2. This will involve new initiatives and a different approach to affordable housing
3. Made the suggestion that reforms to right to buy were needed along with reform of social rent
4. It was hoped that competitive bidding would disappear and that local government would at least get financial stability
5. It’s early days and the jury is still out!
