Newhaven
The town of Newhaven sits on the south coast of England, at the edge of the South Downs National Park, is a ferry port to Dieppe and also an industrial hub for the wider area. It is a community that had lost its identity and sense of place, where expectations had been raised and not always delivered on. The Enterprise Zone is now helping energise a place led renaissance of the town.
Stakeholders in Newhaven realised that despite initiatives and developments the missing aspect was a story that joined up and articulated the ambition for the place. This fresh approach has brought people and organisations together in a way not seen before as Ambassadors for the town, and more importantly has been the foundation for a successful Future High Streets Fund bid and a Towns Fund submission. The new brand of Newhaven is also transforming the place experience with new signage and a local produce-based bistro.
I am excited to be working with the team as we roll out a place led marketing plan that targets our influencers and investors in ways that people wouldn’t have expected of Newhaven.
