Coventry is the 11th largest city in the UK and the economic hub for the region of Coventry and Warwickshire. Since the demise of volume car manufacturing it had lost both its identity, confidence and was ‘punching below its weight’ as a major city. There was a desire to develop a new narrative for the city and region, to engage the most senior stakeholders, to bring the city of Coventry and rural Warwickshire together as one offer creating a sustainable, private sector led delivery approach to developing and marketing the area. www.coventry-warwickshire.co.uk

A place board of the areas decision makers to oversee place activity

new positioning and engagement of major developers at MIPIM and MIPIM UK

showcased the area at a specially created investor event at the Shard

developed an ambassador programme called Champions as the premier place networking event

implementation of new events programme with bespoke activity such as Moto Fest

development of a global Peace forum, RISING bringing world leading figures to Coventry

generated national PR via a contract funded by the Champions

engagement of key businesses such as Jaguar Land Rover & Severn Trent Water.
